Colonization

Much to Robinson Crusoe's chagrin, tonight, Friday exacted his revenge on the White Man and decided to colonize a plant in our kitchen.  If you haven't taken a class from Dr. Lora Geriguis (which is all but one of my readers), you won't get that reference - so sorry.  But it had to be done.

 And oh.  my.  There were ants everywhere!!!!!!  Darcy and I spent a good forty minutes screaming, vacuuming up ants, and throwing away the plant under which there was a colony of ants...building...growing...meiosis in action.  I feel so icky right now.  Like there are ants crawling all over me.

i can't wait for it to cool down so that the ants won't enter the house again.  oh.  my.
